A six-storey mixed-use modular building. The ground floor and part of the first floor consisted of teaching areas for the Construction Skills Centre (CSC), and the remaining building consisted of work/office spaces for the Mace Dragados Joint Venture (MDJV).

Innovation Fire Engineering provided a fire strategy for the building, taking into account the vast number of occupants and the implementation of a simultaneous evacuation procedure, ensuring that all stair and exit widths were sufficient for the proposed occupancy. A solution was developed using fire shutters to separate potential fire risk areas, as well as providing alternative escape routes to prevent voids from compromising the occupants’ means of escape.
