What’s changing?

• The amendment to the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 comes into force on 30 October 2025.
• Certain baby- and young-children’s products are now exempt from the Regulations.
• The requirement for a “display label” (swing-tag style) on new upholstered furniture is removed.
• The time-limit for enforcement legal proceedings is extended from 6 to 12 months.
