James and Helen attended the SPARK event at the University of Lancashire in April, where they conducted 16 speed interviews with applicants interested in joining Innovation Fire Engineering as Apprentice Fire Engineers.

Hosted by the University of Lancashire Apprenticeship Matching Service Team, the event provided an excellent opportunity to meet talented candidates, with several being invited to attend a further interview at our Leeds office.

It was a pleasure to take part in such a well-organised event. SPARK continues to be a fantastic way for employers to connect with aspiring apprentices while helping students find the right degree apprenticeship and career path.

We’d also like to thank our apprentices, H and Lily, for taking time out of their exam revision to help set up our stand and share their experiences of undertaking an apprenticeship at Innovation Fire Engineering.
